Initial consultations are longer, so please allow up to 60 minutes for your first visit. This gives enough time to go through your history, perform a thorough assessment, and start to understand how your body is functioning. Follow-up appointments are shorter, while still allowing time to check in, reassess, and provide care appropriate to how your body is responding.

In most cases, care can begin on the first visit, depending on what’s found during your assessment. If further information is needed before starting, this will always be discussed with you first.

Adjustments are typically gentle and tailored to the individual. There are a range of techniques that can be used, and we’ll always choose an approach that feels appropriate and comfortable for you.

This varies from person to person. Some people come in for short-term support, while others choose to continue with ongoing care as part of looking after their overall health. We’ll always discuss options with you so you can decide what feels right.

No referral is required to see a chiropractor.

Not always. X-rays are only recommended if there’s a clinical reason to take a closer look. This is based on your history and what’s found during your assessment. If imaging is suggested, it will always be explained and discussed with you first. In many cases, care can begin without the need for X-rays. If you already have any imaging, such as X-rays, MRIs, or reports, please bring them along to your first visit.

That’s completely okay. Your first appointment can simply be a chance to talk things through, ask questions, and better understand what may be going on. There’s no obligation to start care on the day, and treatment will only begin if it feels appropriate and you’re comfortable to proceed.
